Open every Thursday to Saturday, from 5 PM to 1 AM.
You might heard of Sugbo Mercado – that weekend night market that springs out every Thursdays to Saturdays at Garden Bloc, IT Park, Cebu City (now they have a new branch in Cebu Business Park).
The location is very near the office, so my teammates and officemates usually end up deciding to hit this place every weekend to help ourselves whenever we are starving, especially to relieve all that stress from all the work that we had. With just a few steps from our building (actually, it is located across our building), Sugbo Mercado is indeed the easy vote for every dinner options.
While I enjoy most of the time whenever I visit this night market, I just can’t help but experience these struggles when venturing the place. Here are some of my personal thoughts: Continue reading
Cebuanos, like me, really love to eat. And because of our love for food, we tend to seek for the best dishes, but not sacrificing the budget.
My VIP Pass.
Being one of Cebu’s favorite food destination, Greenwich gave out a big pizza blow-out exclusively for Cebuanos on the eve of Sinulog. Held at SM City Cebu Event Center, Greenwich proudly presented 2 new additions to their family that will surely make not just the Cebuanos, but also the Greenwich fans all over the country, to crave more and visit Greenwich throughout the entire 2014. Yours truly got the chance to witness this awesome treat from Greenwich.
You’ll definitely want more of Greenwich’s Hawaiian Overload goodness starting at P99.00 for solo size pizza.
Greenwich’s Hawaiian Overload Pizza will take you to an entirely different experience. With its combination of sweet and juicy pineapples, cheddar and mozzarella cheese, different salts and spices, and now topped with crunchy bell peppers, Cebuanos must really try this mouthwatering pizza. I’ve tried it, and it had me bought another box after I had my first slice.Continue reading
I was really saddened when I heard the new about the collision between MV St. Thomas Aquinas of of 2Go Shipping Lines and MV Sulcon Express 7, a property of Philippine Span Asia Carrier Corporation (PSACC, formerly called Sulpicio Lines). The collision took away the lives of more than 30 people, including the young and the helpless ones. It really gives me pain in my heart everytime I see this tragedy in the television, and read some of the updates over Facebook News Feeds and different Internet sites. As a freediver, I honestly want to take part in the search operation, but with my current skills in freediving, it is impossible for me to reach the 100 feet sea bed, where the MV St. Thomas Aquinas is lying right now.
But as a blogger, this is my way of helping the victims of the tragic incident: to share a very helpful way for the survivors to communicate with their families who are really worried about their situations.
Free call for the ferry disaster survivors. (Photo from Globe)
Globe has actually set up areas where survivors can call their love-ones from any local, national and international numbers for free. The first Globe Libreng Tawag Center is located in Pier 4 Terminal in Port Area, where about 300 passengers are temporarily staying right now. The second Libreng Tawag Center is situated in Sugbutel, a hostel which also gives shelter to other passengers who survived the collision. Calls and texts made at any Libreng Tawag Centers are free of charge and will be stationed at the mentioned sites until the situations gets stable.
I salute Globe for having this wonderful idea. This is really indeed helpful especially for the victims of the tragedy for them to relay to their families and friends that they are safe and sound. With these Libreng Tawag Centers, communication between the survivors and their families is not a problem anymore.
Guys, you must check out this Japanese food hub that I know. This food hub offers authentic Japanese dishes in an affordable price. If you have already dined in this place I’m talking about, then you’ll agree with me. If you haven’t, then go and check out Joed’s Lutong Hapon.
Joed’s Lutong Hapon, like I said, offers the best foods of the Land of the Rising Sun, from different choices of sushi and sashimi, to delicious soups and Japanese noodles, plus bonuses like bento meals, shakes, ice creams, and even kimchi. If you are a Japanese food-lover like me, then you will love this place. If you’re not but you want to try them, then be ready because you might be like me and the Japanese people, and you will know the reason why we love the food.
They serve Kimchi 🙂
